One of the ways in which Abama connects with people all over the globe is through events and golf tournaments abroad. Along the way, we have had the fortune to find ourselves in some incredible places and with great people we have introduced to the magical island we call home.
To wit, at the beginning of September we bundled up and headed to Crans Montana in the already cooling Alps to enjoy the Omega European Masters. This event, the second-largest of European golf tournaments, open to players from both the European and Asian Tour since 2009, never disappoints. The prestigious competition was incredible as ever, drawing a huge number of spectators to the tournament and ancillary events.
Abama Luxury Residences was present with a full stand in the village, to which we were happy to receive numerous visits. Perhaps unsurprisingly, our golf course and properties materials drew great interest from a public already besotted with courses of the caliber of Crans-sur-Sierre. And we were thrilled to rub elbows with the likes of Lee Westwood and other international players.
It would seem that central European golfers are on the lookout for their next international destination, especially if world-class properties, accommodation and golf courses are on offer. As the days grow shorter and winter descends over Switzerland, we suspect that Abama’s Canary Island spring will have greater and greater appeal, especially since we offer some great golf tournaments of our own! It's all part of being one of the best golf resorts in Europe.
