Presented at the European Hotel Awards on October 23rd at the London Marriott Hotel, these awards reaffirm the excellence and commitment of one of the leading hotels of our resort in Spain. The European Hotel Awards are widely regarded as among the most prestigious accolades in the global hospitality industry, make this recognition a source of immense pride. ## Best Luxury Hotel in Spain Comprising 151 spacious suites and an authentic Mediterranean design by renowned architect Melvin Villarroel, Las Terrazas de Abama Suites won in the Large Luxury Hotel category (over 51 rooms) for offering an unparalleled combination of comfort, privacy, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and La Gomera. Its unique appeal is enhanced by its prime location at the heart of Abama Resort, Tenerife’s premier residential and holiday destination. Guests of the resort can indulge in an exceptional range of dining experiences: from the two-Michelin-starred M.B to the traditional Txoko and the innovative Melvin, alongside other standout experiences such as Akira Back Tenerife and the bold Tágara. Together, these restaurants form part of an extensive collection of fine dining and premium shopping venues. ## Best Golf Hotel in Spain The recognition as Spain’s Best Large Luxury Hotel confirms Las Terrazas de Abama Suites as Tenerife’s most exclusive holiday destination. But this is not the only honour the European Hotel Awards have awarded to the hotel: it has also been named Spain’s Best Golf Hotel. Abama Golf’s acclaimed academy and world-class sporting facilities—including a course designed by Dave Thomas and ranked in Golf Digest's Top 100 for five consecutive years—are at the heart of this distinction. Las Terrazas de Abama Suites offers far more than exceptional accommodation. Guests can enjoy professional tennis and padel facilities, a thoughtfully curated Kids Camp, the tranquillity of the secluded Abama Beach, and a host of exclusive services with privileged guest discounts. For this reason, the success of Abama Hotels—Las Terrazas de Abama Suites and Los Jardines de Abama Suites—cannot be separated from the wider vision that has shaped one of Europe’s most exclusive destinations. Abama is the best resort in Tenerife, whether for an unforgettable holiday or for buying a luxury property in Spain and embracing its lifestyle forever. ##### Published in category [Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/resort), [News](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/news) ##### Share this post - [facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-hotels-las-terrazas-de-abama-named-best-luxury-hotel-in-spain) - [google-plus](https://plus.google.com/share?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-hotels-las-terrazas-de-abama-named-best-luxury-hotel-in-spain) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-hotels-las-terrazas-de-abama-named-best-luxury-hotel-in-spain&text=Abama%20Hotels:%20Las%20Terrazas%20de%20Abama%20Named%20Best%20Luxury%20Hotel%20in%20Spain) - [linkedin2](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-hotels-las-terrazas-de-abama-named-best-luxury-hotel-in-spain) ### Recent posts [![Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg?width=638&name=buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) Posted 06/07/2026 [Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) [![Abama awards nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg?width=638&name=Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) Posted 30/06/2026 [Abama Resort Award Nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) [![enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 25/06/2026 [This summer, enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![Las unit in Las Atalayas villas Abama Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) Posted 16/06/2026 [Last Unit in Las Atalayas: Buy a Luxury Villa in Tenerife](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) [![Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 09/06/2026 [Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![The finest move-in-ready luxury penthouse in Tenerife: Los Jardines de Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/move-in%20ready%20luxury%20penthouse%20in%20Tenerife%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=move-in%20ready%20luxury%20penthouse%20in%20Tenerife%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-finest-move-in-ready-luxury-penthouse-in-tenerife-los-jardines-de-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 22/05/2026 [The finest move-in-ready luxury penthouse in Tenerife: Los Jardines de Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-finest-move-in-ready-luxury-penthouse-in-tenerife-los-jardines-de-abama?hsLang=en) #### Abama Resort Brochure 2019 Get your copy of the latest Abama Resort brochure today.
