In addition to contributing €2,500 directly to the organization, Abama Solidaria also raised over €13,800 in additional funds from generous personal donations from owners and sponsors who bought tables at the dinner and participated in our charity auction. Our objective was to fundraise so Mamás en Acción can include Tenerife in the list of areas it serves. At present, their only center in the Canary Islands is on Gran Canaria. The dinner was held at the Atlántico restaurant in the Abama Golf Clubhouse and was the first opportunity for new chef Carlos Dapena to shine. He prepared an exquisite tasting menu with the best of the restaurant's dishes. Once again, we were touched by the outpouring of support from our owners, collaborators, and friends of the resort in their willingness to contribute to the causes of Abama Solidaria. In particular, we want to convey our deepest gratitude to sponsors Mahou, Taittinger and Perelada, Adidas, Tenerife Golf Event, Engel&Volkers, Von Poll, Top IMMO, Michael Bettenhaus, Origen Estética, Grupo Menceyes and Victor Duboisson. ## Mamás en Acción The NGO Mamás en Acción is a volunteer organization that works 24 hours a day, in shifts, to remain by the side of children with serious illnesses who, for various reasons, are unaccompanied in the hospital: these include victims of abuse; children whose parents' work is the sole support for the rest of their family; or wards of the State. Under the motto “No child alone,” Mamás en Acción operates in 16 hospitals in various Spanish cities and, little by little, is expanding its work to the whole country. We hope that very soon they will be able to begin their extraordinary work on the island of Tenerife. ##### Published in category [News](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/news), [Solidarity](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/solidarity) ##### Share this post - [facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-solidaria-hosts-charity-dinner-for-mamas-en-accion) - [google-plus](https://plus.google.com/share?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-solidaria-hosts-charity-dinner-for-mamas-en-accion) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-solidaria-hosts-charity-dinner-for-mamas-en-accion&text=Abama%20Solidaria%20hosts%20charity%20dinner%20for%20Mamás%20en%20Acción) - [linkedin2](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-solidaria-hosts-charity-dinner-for-mamas-en-accion) ### Recent posts [![Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg?width=638&name=buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) Posted 06/07/2026 [Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) [![Abama awards nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg?width=638&name=Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) Posted 30/06/2026 [Abama Resort Award Nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) [![enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 25/06/2026 [This summer, enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![Las unit in Las Atalayas villas Abama Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) Posted 16/06/2026 [Last Unit in Las Atalayas: Buy a Luxury Villa in Tenerife](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) [![Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 09/06/2026 [Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![The finest move-in-ready luxury penthouse in Tenerife: Los Jardines de Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/move-in%20ready%20luxury%20penthouse%20in%20Tenerife%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=move-in%20ready%20luxury%20penthouse%20in%20Tenerife%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-finest-move-in-ready-luxury-penthouse-in-tenerife-los-jardines-de-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 22/05/2026 [The finest move-in-ready luxury penthouse in Tenerife: Los Jardines de Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-finest-move-in-ready-luxury-penthouse-in-tenerife-los-jardines-de-abama?hsLang=en) #### Abama Resort Brochure 2019 Get your copy of the latest Abama Resort brochure today.
