As a result, it’s the perfect location for the newly popular micro wedding: an intimate celebration with typically no more than 50 guests but with all the trappings of a bigger and splashier affair. For couples looking to keep it small with a more sustainable and budget-flexible celebration, or simply wanting to keep their special day intimate, the micro wedding is the perfect option. There’s no better place to celebrate than Las Terrazas de Abama Suites, at one of the best resorts in Tenerife, where these smaller affairs are catered to by a team of specialists. They’ll arrange and advise on menu plans from top establishments such as Melvin restaurant by Martín Berasategui, and also guide choices on exclusive venues around the resort, decoration and even floral arrangements. And the luxurious and private guest accommodations at Las Terrazas de Abama will exceed all your expectations and those of your wedding party. This latest wedding trend is on the rise, as more and more couples are opting for simple, pandemic-friendly alternatives that are practical and safe, yet still offer all the magic of a big wedding. On the whole, guest numbers at a micro wedding range from 20 to 50 friends and family, and often the nuptials are held outdoors. Growing alongside the demand for the micro wedding is the demand for a different kind of look that reflects the same desire for simplicity. The wedding fashion industry has responded with more chic, low-key bridal wear that represents an about-face from the traditional gown. Shunning a church for an outdoor ceremony is a trend also on the rise. Whether down on the Abama beach or tucked into a corner of our subtropical gardens, you can’t go wrong with the luxurious grounds of Abama as the setting for hosting your nearest and dearest. ## An unforgettable experience The five-star Las Terrazas de Abama Suites offer the perfect location for an intimate celebration, with micro wedding packages available for up to 20 people. Managed by MyWay Meaningful Hotels and part of the Preferred Residences brand, Las Terrazas has spectacular, spacious and sunlit suites with between 1 and 4 bedrooms that can accommodate all types of groups. Surrounded by beautifully cultivated gardens, magnificent sea views and apartments with their own terraces, guests of our micro weddings enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and luxury services. And whether your pleasure is a getaway for your families and closest friends or a simple wedding with only a celebrant a photographer present, the secluded and private Las Terrazas de Abama Suites will make your day unforgettable. ## Pre- and post-micro wedding activities While the wedding ceremony occupies one day, your special event doesn’t have to stop there. Know what your guests like and cater to it: it’s easy at Abama thanks to the myriad activities available. Winner of “Best International Golf Hotel in the World”, Las Terrazas are located next to the Clubhouse of our 18-hole Dave Thomas golf course, one of the best courses on the islands. Alternatively, guests can book time at the tennis and paddle tennis center, or head down to the Abama beach. The golden sand and year-round pleasant water temperatures are accompanied by hammocks and other services offered by the oceanfront Beach Club. For those who prefer to take a dip in the pool, Laz Terraces has three heated ones to enjoy, especially at sunset from the poolside cocktail bar. Additional facilities on the grounds include luxury boutiques, The Ritz-Carlton, Abama Tenerife Spa, and beauty treatments or yoga and Pilates classes that can be arranged à la carte: perfect for unwinding before or after the big day. The resort grounds are beautiful and ideal for a stroll, a run, or a bike. And there are two Michelin-star restaurants located within Abama, so foodies will have no problem ticking the box on their world tour of the finest dining. Outside the grounds, there’s the whole island to explore. Tenerife is an amazing natural paradise, with the tallest peak in Spain, a national park, forests that are thousands of years old, an incredible marine ecosystem that includes whales and dolphins, and many locations for water activities like sailing, kite surfing, paddleboard, kayaking, and more. You can plan a series of excursions for your guests to spots around the island, or combine your wedding and honeymoon in paradise. A micro wedding doesn’t mean your options are limited. On the contrary, [Abama Resort Tenerife](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-tenerife-the-art-of-simplicity?hsLang=en) offers more exclusive experiences for your celebration than you ever dreamed. The intimacy of a reduced guest list will allow you to splurge on the activities surrounding your ceremony, crafting a trip for your guests that is a personal reflection of your life and love. When you look back, your wedding will be one of your most cherished memories: a romantic, spectacular adventure with every comfort and luxury you could desire. ##### Published in category [Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/resort), [Services](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/services) ##### Share this post - [facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/celebrate-your-micro-wedding-on-tenerife) - [google-plus](https://plus.google.com/share?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/celebrate-your-micro-wedding-on-tenerife) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/celebrate-your-micro-wedding-on-tenerife&text=Celebrate%20your%20micro%20wedding%20on%20Tenerife) - [linkedin2](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/celebrate-your-micro-wedding-on-tenerife) ### Recent posts [![Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg?width=638&name=buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) Posted 06/07/2026 [Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) [![Abama awards nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg?width=638&name=Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) Posted 30/06/2026 [Abama Resort Award Nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) [![enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 25/06/2026 [This summer, enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![Las unit in Las Atalayas villas Abama Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) Posted 16/06/2026 [Last Unit in Las Atalayas: Buy a Luxury Villa in Tenerife](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) [![Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 09/06/2026 [Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![The finest move-in-ready luxury penthouse in Tenerife: Los Jardines de Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/move-in%20ready%20luxury%20penthouse%20in%20Tenerife%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=move-in%20ready%20luxury%20penthouse%20in%20Tenerife%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-finest-move-in-ready-luxury-penthouse-in-tenerife-los-jardines-de-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 22/05/2026 [The finest move-in-ready luxury penthouse in Tenerife: Los Jardines de Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-finest-move-in-ready-luxury-penthouse-in-tenerife-los-jardines-de-abama?hsLang=en) #### Abama Resort Brochure 2019 Get your copy of the latest Abama Resort brochure today.
