One of the most common questions among those considering buying a second home is also one of the most relevant from a financial perspective: what happens when I’m not there? ## How the Hotel Management Programme Works  The answer lies in one of the clear advantages of the resort residential model compared with a conventional second home. Your property can continue to work for you under full professional oversight. Residential communities such as Las Terrazas and Los Jardines de Abama are integrated into the holiday rental programme managed by Abama Hotels. When not in use by their owners, the properties are marketed as five-star accommodation within the resort. For the owner, the process is straightforward. There is no need to manage bookings, guest services, cleaning, check in or maintenance. Everything is handled by the onsite team, and the property is returned in perfect condition each time the owner comes back to enjoy it. The hotel management at Abama is operated by MyWay Hotels & Resorts, a company with a strong track record in the luxury segment. Its presence in Tenerife includes the landmark Gran Hotel Taoro in La Orotava, reflecting its ability to manage high-end properties to the standards demanded by an international clientele. The involvement of an operator of this calibre is not incidental. It means that marketing, guest experience, concierge services, housekeeping, internal transport and overall service delivery are maintained at a consistent five-star level. The result is a guest experience that drives repeat demand and supports the long-term rental performance of each property. Beyond rental income, ownership within a resort such as Abama also contributes to sustained asset value. The security of a well-established community, meticulously maintained subtropical gardens, more than 15 restaurants including the Michelin starred M.B, a Dave Thomas-designed golf course, the Tennis Centre and the Sandára Wellness & Spa all form part of a wider ecosystem that supports and underpins investment. This level of infrastructure and service differentiates the asset significantly from a standalone rental property. Purchasing a property at Abama is therefore not only about securing a place to enjoy and unwind, but also about accessing the potential benefits of holiday rental income in Tenerife. It’s an asset supported by a recognised brand, a fully integrated infrastructure and a reputation that the market values. This is reflected in the strong interest already being generated by the new residential phase scheduled for launch in 2026. Registering for priority access will put you among the first to discover the details as they are released. ##### Published in category [Properties](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/properties), [Services](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/services) ##### Share this post - [facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/holiday-rental-income-in-tenerife) - [google-plus](https://plus.google.com/share?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/holiday-rental-income-in-tenerife) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/holiday-rental-income-in-tenerife&text=Holiday%20Rental%20Income%20in%20Tenerife) - [linkedin2](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/holiday-rental-income-in-tenerife) ### Recent posts [![Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg?width=638&name=buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) Posted 06/07/2026 [Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) [![Abama awards nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg?width=638&name=Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) Posted 30/06/2026 [Abama Resort Award Nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) [![enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 25/06/2026 [This summer, enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![Las unit in Las Atalayas villas Abama Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) Posted 16/06/2026 [Last Unit in Las Atalayas: Buy a Luxury Villa in Tenerife](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) [![Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 09/06/2026 [Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![The finest move-in-ready luxury penthouse in Tenerife: Los Jardines de Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/move-in%20ready%20luxury%20penthouse%20in%20Tenerife%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=move-in%20ready%20luxury%20penthouse%20in%20Tenerife%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-finest-move-in-ready-luxury-penthouse-in-tenerife-los-jardines-de-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 22/05/2026 [The finest move-in-ready luxury penthouse in Tenerife: Los Jardines de Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-finest-move-in-ready-luxury-penthouse-in-tenerife-los-jardines-de-abama?hsLang=en) #### Abama Resort Brochure 2019 Get your copy of the latest Abama Resort brochure today.
