Serene and sophisticated, Abama Resort Tenerife is a place where architecture and luxury interior design go hand-in-hand to create environments with a distinctive personality. A great part of this is due to an interior designer who has been linked to the resort since the beginning: Rita Rosés. She has been able to capture the Moorish flavor of Las Terrazas de Abama, given Los Jardines de Abama a cozy atmosphere, and lent an extraordinary modern touch to Las Villas del Tenis.
In each of these communities, the choice of furniture, textures and contrasts is a process refined to the expectations of future owners and guests. “At Abama,” says Rosés, “the general style is very well defined and based on the resort’s unique location. The clientele are demanding and seek a different style for each luxury interior design project based on its architecture and their personal preferences.” When beginning her work, Rosés analyzes the use that each space will have, the people who will live in it, and the character it should convey.
The Abama lifestyle isn’t just about a weekend getaway with the Dave Thomas golf course in the background; it’s an interpretation of the concept of Wellness. Fine dining, year-round springlike temperatures, professional sport facilities, spectacular settings for outdoor pools, and the privilege of slowing down are the hallmarks of the resort philosophy. For Rosés, this is an integral part of her designs because “people who choose to live at Abama are looking to disconnect from the stress of the city pace, spend time outdoors, and, in short, enjoy life. That’s why I try to have the interior design reflect a tranquil lifestyle with a touch of distinction.”
In one of our recent projects, Los Jardines de Abama, the interior designer took her starting point from the architectural design of Coderch Urbanismo y Arquitectura studio, in which natural light makes for diaphanous spaces in apartments with views of the ocean and golf course. Designed for hotel use, these staggered dwellings are a tribute to the island's own materials and colors and this is also reflected in their timeless luxury interior design. "Los Jardines are apartments with spectacular architecture and incredible panoramic views. Their interiors are very bright, so the design is based on a combination of different furniture and decorative elements that achieve an elegant, warm and cozy atmosphere. Here priority was given to neutral colors, oak woods and white lacquers."
Las Villas del Tenis, meanwhile, the creation of architects Virgilio Gutiérrez Herreros and Eustaquio Martínez, give absolute prominence to their surroundings. Each villa has its own outdoor garden, swimming pool and a green roof with solar panels. Rosés's furniture choices invite you to enjoy the open spaces. In the outdoor dining room with a lounge area, white and wood predominate, marking the distinctive nature of these detached homes in duplex and single-story layouts.
Tireless and creative, Rita Rosés continues to work on new residential and hotel projects with the same tenacity she brings to each of her luxury interior design proposals for Abama Resort Tenerife's modern house design.
