Abama Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hubfs/tenerife-the-Island-of-the-Eternal-Spring-abama-resort.jpg) Some destinations leave a lasting impression. Tenerife is one of them, and its climate is the most persuasive reason why. Known as the island of the eternal spring, Tenerife enjoys average temperatures between 18 and 24 degrees throughout the year, with more than 300 days of sunshine and a gentle Atlantic breeze that softens the summers while keeping winters pleasantly mild. ## Why You Should Consider Buying a Second Home at Abama Resort The Island of the Eternal Spring isn’t a marketing slogan; it’s a geographical reality. The Canary Islands’ position off the northwest coast of Africa, tempered by Atlantic Ocean currents, creates a microclimate unparalleled in Europe. For those considering a second home purchase, it’s a factor that changes the entire equation. It means not only more time in the sun, but quality of life throughout the year. In Tenerife, the climate naturally shapes daily life. Breakfast on the terrace in January feels just as natural as it does in July. Outdoor activities become part of your daily routine, whether walking along volcanic trails surrounded by native flora or just sitting beside the ocean with a glass of Canary Islands wine as the afternoon fades into evening. ## Abama Resort: When Architecture Embraces the Climate Abama Resort has developed its residential concept around this microclimate. Located on the southwest coast of Tenerife, the resort sits in one of the driest and sunniest areas of the island. Sheltered from the trade winds by the mountainous landscape to the north, this stretch of coastline enjoys particularly warm and stable conditions throughout the year. Located in Guía de Isora, with sweeping views over the Atlantic Ocean and towards the island of La Gomera, the resort has been carefully designed to maximise the relationship between indoor and outdoor living. Ocean-facing terraces, lush subtropical gardens, a secluded beach and a Dave Thomas-designed golf course with remarkable panoramas all contribute to an environment geared towards life outdoors, making the most of the island’s exceptional climate. For those ready to take the next step, Los Jardines de Abama offers luxury two-and three-bedroom apartments that are fully furnished and designed by the renowned architectural studio Coderch, using the highest quality materials. Owners benefit from full access to the resort’s services and amenities, while a dedicated on-site team manages maintenance and holiday rentals to five-star standards when owners are away. ## Abama New Homes 2026: Priority Access to the Next Phase Looking ahead, Abama will introduce a new residential phase in 2026, which is already attracting considerable interest from investors across Europe. These new homes will feature contemporary architecture carefully integrated into the resort’s natural surroundings and will follow the same guiding principle that has shaped the resort’s development throughout its history: living well begins with choosing the right destination. Further details will be revealed in the coming months, though interested buyers can already register for priority access to the new property types, pricing and conditions before the development is released to the wider market. At Abama, eternal spring is a reality of everyday life. Our resort is home to a community representing more than 35 nationalities who have chosen this destination as their retreat. It’s a place designed for an active and healthy lifestyle by the ocean, where outdoor living can be enjoyed throughout the twelve months of the year and where a second home becomes both a personal sanctuary and a long-term lifestyle investment. ##### Published in category [Properties](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/properties), [Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tag/resort) ##### Share this post - [facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tenerife-the-island-of-the-eternal-spring) - [google-plus](https://plus.google.com/share?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tenerife-the-island-of-the-eternal-spring) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tenerife-the-island-of-the-eternal-spring&text=Tenerife,%20the%20Island%20of%20the%20Eternal%20Spring) - [linkedin2](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/tenerife-the-island-of-the-eternal-spring) ### Recent posts [![Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg?width=638&name=buy-a-plot-of-land-canary-islands%202.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) Posted 06/07/2026 [Build a private villa in the Canary Islands’ premier resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/build-a-private-villa-in-the-canary-islands-premier-resort?hsLang=en) [![Abama awards nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg?width=638&name=Abama%20Nominations%202025-1.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) Posted 30/06/2026 [Abama Resort Award Nominations 2026](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/abama-resort-award-nominations-2026?hsLang=en) [![enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=see%20astronomical%20phenomena%20this%20summer%20from%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 25/06/2026 [This summer, enjoy the night sky from your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/this-summer-enjoy-the-night-sky-from-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![Las unit in Las Atalayas villas Abama Resort](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg?width=638&name=last%20unit%20in%20Las%20Atalayas%20Abama%20Resort.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) Posted 16/06/2026 [Last Unit in Las Atalayas: Buy a Luxury Villa in Tenerife](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/last-unit-in-las-atalayas-buy-a-luxury-villa-in-tenerife?hsLang=en) [![Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg?width=638&name=romerias%20and%20festivals%20near%20your%20home%20at%20Abama.jpg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) Posted 09/06/2026 [Festivals and summer celebrations near your home at Abama](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/festivals-and-summer-celebrations-near-your-home-at-abama?hsLang=en) [![The Best Place to Buy a Second Home: Tenerife](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Social/A7V01253-2-1.jpeg?width=638&name=A7V01253-2-1.jpeg)](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-best-place-to-buy-a-second-home-tenerife?hsLang=en) Posted 29/05/2026 [The Best Place to Buy a Second Home: Tenerife](https://blog.abamahotelresort.com/the-best-place-to-buy-a-second-home-tenerife?hsLang=en) #### Abama Resort Brochure 2019 Get your copy of the latest Abama Resort brochure today.
