We celebrate the first Golf Trophée Abama Joyenval

We're happy to report that the first Golf Trophée Abama Joyenval, held over the spring weekend of May 11th in an extraordinary atmosphere of camaraderie buoyed by the serenity of the Chambourcy landscape, was a great success. It saw the participation of 84 players, including Abama Resort homeowners, and reconfirmed our love for planning special events on our grounds and abroad.

The 18-hole tournament was the perfect opportunity to meet casually with members of the Joyenval club, many of whom were already familiar with Abama and its special golf course. We had plenty of resort news to share, thanks to the recent additions of our new spa and other facilities, the ongoing renovations of our clubhouse and greens, and advances in our hotel and real estate developments. For families seeking exclusive spaces for relaxation and outdoor activities, a resort like Abama is an ideal environment for a second home on an idyllic island within Europe.

After the very exciting tournament, we also shared some of our recent book publications, the Abama Architecture & Lifestyle book and Abama Blue Ocean, and revealed everything we've learned over the course of producing the latter. Besides being a destination with excellent weather throughout the year and world-class services, Abama's natural ecosystems are among the most precious in the world. We hope that many of the Joyenval members will visit Abama in the coming months and experience the wonders of Tenerife for themselves.

Club de Golf Joyenval

Located just 20 kilometers from the center of Paris, the Club de Golf Joyenval is one of the most breathtaking golf venues in Northern Europe. Serene and discreet, this space was created in 1992 around the former abbey of Prémontrés, erected in the first half of the 13th Century and largely destroyed at the end of the 18th Century.

Some of the remains still stand, however, and are visible from the Club's two golf courses, Retz and Marly, set in the bucolic forests of Marly and Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Both courses were designed by legendary American golf architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. and are valued not only for their technical challenges, but also for the way they blend harmoniously with their surroundings.

This natural environment, respect for heritage and quiet beauty of the surroundings are just what we seek in the best golf resorts, and we were delighted to partner with the club for the first Golf Trophée Abama Joyenval. We can only look forward to another good reception and unforgettable experience next year.
