Beyond bathing and relaxing, the southwest coast of Tenerife is home to one of the best places in Europe to connect with marine life: the Teno-Rasca marine strip between the islands of Tenerife and La Gomera in the Canary Islands. From quite close to Abama you can take an eco boat trip to engage in responsible cetacean watching; your reward will be seeing the pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins that permanently inhabit this strip of the Atlantic. There are also diving and snorkeling centers that offer trips for all levels, in crystal-clear waters where you’ll see seabeds of incredible biodiversity.

More than a book, it’s a declaration of love for the ocean and a manifesto to aid in the conservation of this precious environment. Through photographs by the area's leading marine photographers, this volume celebrates the beauty of the ocean and our shared responsibility to preserve it for future generations.
Part of the proceeds from the book sales go straight to Asociación Tonina and the Pelagic Life Association, two groups that participated in making the book and who are heavily involved in conservation efforts in Teno-Rasca.
