Get ready to golf Tenerife! We are delighted to announce that on the 20th of May, 2019, Las Terrazas will host the inauguration of the 5th edition of the IAGTO Trophy. This prestigious tournament, this year called the IAGTO Tenerife Golf Trophy 2019, has previously been hosted in locations on the Costa del Sol, Costa Brava, Costa Blanca, and the Costa Cálida.
IAGTO, “The Global Golf Tourism Organisation”, has a membership of more than 2,500 golf tour operators, golf resorts, hotels, courses, operators, airlines, tourism boards, and media and business partners in over 100 countries. It is the top association in the international golf industry, and its objective is to help its members develop their business faster and further the development of golf travel worldwide.
As such, attendees at the IAGTO events are the crème-de-la-crème of the business, and the welcome dinner at Las Terrazas will serve 150 prestige golf tour operators from 20 different countries ready to inaugurate this golf Tenerife event. Melvin restaurant, by Martín Berasategui, will be the venue for the dinner and a cocktail hour prior, and Abama Resort is incredibly proud to have been given these hosting honours.
This inauguration will be the first act of the golf Tenerife tournament that runs from the 20th to the 23rd of May, during which attendees will experience some of the top 10 courses on the island, as well as many of its other spectacular attractions and unbeatable climate.
