Ayurveda, yoga, and ancient Tibetan practices at Abama Resort

Ancient, therapeutic and holistic, Ayurveda, the so-called “science of life”, is a traditional Indian system that conceives Wellness as a balance between body, mind, and spirit. It’s a vision of human beings that prioritizes the prevention of illness through healthy eating combined with conscious breathing, meditation, and physical activity.

Here at Abama Resort we believe in the importance of this mind-body balance, and that’s why we’ve based our upcoming Abama Wellness Week on these practices. From the 22nd to the 25th of November, a group of experts will lead our guests and residents in a series of activities based on Ayurveda, yoga, and Tibetan practices that they can enjoy in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature.

The Las Terrazas de Abama Suites have designed several special accommodation packages for our guests. Visitors can choose between 4 or 7 nights in a luxury suite with breakfast, a Welcome Bag, and all our Wellness Week activities. They can also book tee or court times and enjoy other supplemental services at preferential rates. Abama boasts an incredible range of facilities including an 18-hole golf course, a full tennis and paddle tennis center, multiple swimming pools, and Michelin-starred restaurants. Wellness Week activities will begin the 22nd of November but guests can book their first night on the 21st so they will be fresh and ready the next morning.

“Mind, body & energy” is the motto that is guiding preparations for the third Abama Wellness Week. Organic produce will form the foundation of the food served during the event, and every day will offer a variety of activities from which to choose. Participatory workshops focused on Ayurveda and Tibetan principles and guided by experts will immerse guests in the stimulating world of energy, meditation, movement, and healthy habits. Yoga sessions, relaxation techniques, massage, and Pilates exercises will be the pillars of the programme of activities that will also include the preparations of nutritious food following Ayurveda principles.

The extraordinary views over the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera, the exuberance of our palm and banana trees, the turquoise waters of the Abama Beach, the greens of our golf course, and the tranquil silence that envelops the resort are the key ingredients for a few days of complete relaxation and personalized guidance in the world of yoga and ancient Asian practices.
